In my 4 years at Mason, I studied Conflict Analysis, Sustainability, and Spanish. I walked away with a degree in Global Affairs, but it was my extracurriculars that really changed the course of my life.
As a part of GMU's Catholic Campus Ministry, I led the Homeless Outreach program for 2 academic years. With dozens of student volunteers, I served the homeless of Fairfax, VA and Washington, DC on a regular basis.
I also completed a one year fellowship at the Alliance to End Hunger, in research and communications, related to their Hunger Free Communities initiative.
